Steven Lopez has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and design. Steven started their career at BSW International as a Cad Tech from 2004 to 2006. Steven then worked at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as a Store Planner, creating store layouts and reviewing architectural drawings. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Designer at DGM & Associates, specializing in mixed-use residential buildings and collaborating with clients and consultants. After that, they joined Applied Engineering as a Design Specialist, focusing on HVAC and plumbing designs for various projects, including LEED Certified buildings. At Jacobs Engineering, they worked as a Mechanical Designer from 2010 to 2013, gaining experience in DOD, commercial, retail, and refinery projects. Steven then joined P2S Engineering, Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, specializing in plumbing design for educational projects and performing field investigations and construction administration. Currently, they are working at Capital Engineering since 2016, where they have held multiple roles such as Associate Senior Designer, Associate Project Manager, and Director of Fire Sprinkler Design. Steven has extensive experience in designing mechanical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems using Revit as a design platform, as well as managing projects and creating custom Revit schedules and content.
Steven Lopez completed their education in Mechanical Engineering at Orange Coast College from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they received an Associates Degree in Drafting from HIGH-TECH INSTITUTE, where they attended from 2002 to 2003. In addition to their degrees, Steven has obtained several certifications in Revit MEP from Autodesk. Steven became a Revit MEP 2015 Certified Professional in December 2014 and obtained two more certifications, namely Revit MEP 2016 Certified Professional (Electrical) and Revit MEP 2016 Certified Professional (Mechanical), in December 2015.
