René Kallestrup is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and credit risk analysis. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Capital Four Management since February 2012, Kallestrup has a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Credit Risk from Copenhagen Business School, where a dissertation focused on bank and sovereign credit risk was completed. Previous roles include positions at PIMCO as a PhD intern in Client Facing Analytics, and at Danmarks Nationalbank as a PhD fellow. Kallestrup also served as an Economist at the Central Bank of Iceland, advising on monetary policy and collaborating with the International Monetary Fund during the financial crisis. Early career experiences at Danske Bank and as a student instructor at Aarhus University provided a foundation in currency strategy and macroeconomic principles.
