Samir Mathur

Samir Mathur is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in asset management and trading. Currently serving as a Partner and Portfolio Manager in the Capital Solutions Group at Capital Group since March 2012, Samir oversees a firm with over $2.5 trillion in assets under management. Prior to this role, Samir held several key positions at Citi from April 1993 to February 2012, including Managing Director and Global Head of Multi-asset Trading and Solutions, as well as Vice President in Fixed-Income Derivatives Trading. Earlier in the career, Samir worked as a Manager at Hewlett-Packard from 1988 to 1993. Academically, Samir earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, along with a BTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
