David Xu

David Xu is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in underwriting and financial analysis. Currently serving as a Principal Associate in Community Finance at Capital One since September 2025, David previously worked as a Senior Associate in Underwriting at Forbright Bank, focusing on Healthcare Lending from June 2022 to September 2025. Prior to that, David held various roles in a finance rotational program at Fannie Mae from July 2020 to June 2022, which included experience in Multifamily Allowance, Corporate FP&A, and Financial Reporting. David began a career in finance with internships at Fannie Mae and Pacific Western Bank in 2019 and 2018, respectively. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business.
