Jimmy Ray

Jimmy Ray is a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Capital One since October 2024, previously serving as Chief Cybersecurity Architect and Chief Cloud Architect at Boeing from June 2023 to October 2024. Prior to that, Jimmy held various roles at Amazon Web Services from June 2020 to June 2023, including Senior Developer Advocate for AWS Kubernetes and Senior Solutions Architect. Jimmy's career at Capital One began in September 2016, where roles included Distinguished Engineer and Lead Software Engineer. Earlier experience includes positions at AuthX, CloudBees, and ICF Ironworks, among others. In addition to industry roles, Jimmy served as an Adjunct Professor at Strayer University, teaching courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs, and earned a Master’s in Management of IT from the University of Virginia. Educational background includes a Bachelor's in CIS from Strayer University and an Associate's in Electronic Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute.
