Leilani Funaki

Leilani Funaki is an experienced instructional designer with a robust background in training development, specializing in online, face-to-face, and blended learning environments. Currently serving as Design & Delivery Team Lead and Senior Learning Consultant at Capital One since February 2018, Leilani has a proven track record in educational technology, instructional design, and adult education. Prior experience includes roles at ICF, where Leilani led training redesign initiatives for the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center, and at The George Washington University, where course development followed the ADDIE process and Quality Matters standards. A former Blended Learning Designer at Davis Technical College, Leilani also has expertise in curriculum management and professional development for instructors. Leilani holds a PhD in Learning Technologies Design Research from George Mason University, a Master's in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature from Brigham Young University–Hawaii.
