Pient Tran

Pient Tran is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in regulatory relations and financial oversight. Currently serving as Managing Vice President of External Affairs at Capital One since September 2018, Pient Tran leads regulatory relations and innovation strategies for the Community Finance business, focusing on affordable housing. Prior to this role, Pient Tran was Vice President of External Affairs, where responsibilities included leadership in various finance divisions. Pient Tran also contributed to ReEstablish Richmond as Chairman and Treasurer, assisting refugees in becoming self-sufficient. Earlier experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond included roles such as Assistant Vice President and Senior Examiner, overseeing financial risk management and regulatory compliance for large financial institutions. Pient Tran holds a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
