Heather Rarey

Director of Data Operations at CAP STRAT

Heather Rarey has a diverse work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Heather started their career as an Accounting Intern at Hendrickson in 2006, where they worked with the As400 accounting financial system and assisted on projects for accounts receivable and payable. Heather also reconciled balance sheet accounts and bank statements.

In 2008, Heather interned again, this time at Navistar Inc, where they helped with accounts receivables and payables using the JVS and JVSR accounting systems.

Heather then moved on to work as an Accounts Payable Contractor at Hendrickson in 2009, where they assumed responsibility for the full cycle accounts payable process in the absence of an A/P role. Heather handled daily A/P processes for three divisions, assisted with vendor and supplier questions, and ensured accurate and compliant accounts payable records.

At Navistar Inc, in the same year, Heather returned as an Accounting Intern and was assigned to assist with a demanding project in the accounts payable department. Heather worked with various accounts payable systems and demonstrated the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

Heather then worked as a Design Registration Analyst at Richardson Electronics from 2010 to 2011. Heather entered design opportunity/quotes into vendor systems through a design registration program and updated the necessary systems accordingly.

From 2011 to 2013, Heather worked as a Finance Analyst at Richardson RFPD. In this role, they developed, maintained, and analyzed operational and statistical data, completed sales and financial reporting, and supported financial planning and business analysis activities. Heather also worked on maintaining the company's database hub and creating reports for various stakeholders globally.

Most recently, Heather joined Capital Strategies Investment Group in 2013 as a Data Operations Associate. Heather imported daily account positions, transactions, and prices for Institutional DB and private clients, reconciled accounts on a daily/weekly basis, and ran performance reports on a monthly basis for all portfolios in Advent system. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of Data Operations, where they oversee the operations team responsible for various data-related tasks and collaborates with clients to develop efficient processes. Heather also assists with compliance requests and audits.

Heather Rarey earned an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Joliet Junior College, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Heather then attended Aurora University from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
