Cody Weger has diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Cody started their career in 2011 as a Hiking Guide and Retail Associate at Tamarack Outdoor Outfitters and later worked as a Vice President of Operations at Concordia Business Association. In 2014, they served as the Vice President of Finance for the Concordia Student's Association and then became the President of the association in 2015. Cody also worked as an Officer of Finance (Temp) at Alberta Students' Executive Council during the same year. In 2015, Cody co-founded TyCo Construction, a landscaping company, and worked as a Co-Founder/Partner. In 2016, they joined Capital Power as a Business Development intern and later held positions such as Energy Management Specialist, Compliance Analyst, and Commercial Manager, Canada West. Cody also co-owns Wegco Homes, a company they started in 2020. Additionally, they own Wegco Media, a freelance videography and photography business started in 2018. Overall, Cody's work experience showcases their leadership skills, financial expertise, and expertise in commercial management and compliance in the power generation industry.

Capital Power Corporation is a North American power producing company. The Company develops, acquires, operates and optimizes power generation from a range of energy sources. The Company is engaged in the operation of electrical generation facilities within Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and in the United States, including North Carolina, New Mexico and Kansas. It also holds a portfolio of wind and solar development sites in the United States. It owns over 3, 200 megawatts (MW) of power generation capacity at approximately 20 facilities across North America and owns approximately 370 MW of capacity through its interest in the Sundance C power purchase arrangement (Sundance PPA). It also owns natural gas, wind, and solid fuel facilities and has a range of generation facilities in development or construction in Canada and the United States. Its facilities include Clover Bar Energy Centre 1, 2 and 3, Genesee 3, Clover Bar Landfill Gas and K2 Wind.
