IT Computer Desktop Support Analyst at Capital Power

Ejaz Yaqub has extensive work experience in the field of IT support, with roles at various companies. Ejaz started their career as a Project Coordinator at Rogers Communications, where they provided daily IT support to 5500 employees and worked on the Share Space project. Ejaz then worked at Manulife as a Project Desk Side IT and Office 365 Migration Analyst, supporting the migration from IBM Lotus Notes to Office 365 and providing desktop support to users. At The Globe and Mail, Ejaz worked as an IT Desktop Support Analyst, providing support to 500 users, imaging and deploying laptops, and handling server and network issues. Ejaz then moved on to Halton Regional Police Service as an IT Desktop Support Analyst, where they provided support to headquarters and district offices, assisted with Cisco Unity Connections Administration, and handled daily IT needs for various departments. Ejaz also worked at Cineplex Digital Media as a Desktop Support Analyst, supporting LCD devices for various clients and handling security updates and network devices. Ejaz then joined BDO Canada as an IT Technical Support Analyst, where they provided desktop and remote support to users, imaged and deployed laptops, and handled various IT tasks such as server and network configurations. At RBC, Ejaz worked as an IT Desktop Support & Windows 10 Analyst, providing support to RBC employees on a daily basis. Ejaz also worked at the University of Tor, providing IT desktop support and deploying Windows 10 to different departments. Most recently, Ejaz worked at POLAR PAK COMPANY as an IT Computer Desktop Support Analyst, providing support to the company's IT infrastructure. Currently, they are working at Capital Power as an IT Computer Desktop Support Analyst, where they provide IT support to multiple locations and handles daily desktop related issues, image computer desktops and laptops, and works on various IT projects.

Ejaz Yaqub's education history includes a certification from the University of Toronto Mississauga in Project Management in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Journalism, and Economics from the University of the Punjab, from 1988 to 1990.

In terms of additional certifications, Ejaz Yaqub has acquired the A+ certification from CompTIA, Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco, and Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft. Ejaz is currently in progress of obtaining the Project Management (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, as well as the Project+ certification from CompTIA.
