Commercial Reporting Analyst at Capital Power

Jessica Dodds has had a diverse range of work experience starting in 2005 as a Sales Associate at CD Plus. Jessica later transitioned to a role as a Store Manager at the same company, where they successfully implemented strategies to increase sales and manage store inventory. After this, they worked as a Bookkeeper at TRC Management, where they were responsible for financial reporting for property owners and condominium properties. Jessica then moved on to the Environmental Law Centre, where they served as a Bookkeeper, handling expense and revenue entries and reconciling corporate accounts. Following this, they joined Enbridge as a Cost Control Administrator, responsible for invoicing and work hour allocation across multiple pipeline projects. Jessica also worked as a Line 37 Cost Associate at Enbridge, facilitating the handling of service provider contracts and invoices for spill cleanup. Subsequently, Jessica worked as a Line Cook at Izakaya Tomo before joining the Government of Alberta as an Operational Analyst, Budget Analyst, and Divisional Budget Coordinator. In these roles, they managed refunds for gas royalty clients, analyzed client statements, invoices, and refunds, and improved the efficiency of the collections process. Currently, they are working as a Financial Analyst at Capital Power.

Jessica Dodds obtained their education in the field of accounting. Jessica earned a Diploma in Accounting from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) between 2008 and 2010. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015. Continuing their education, they enrolled in Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2018 to 2020, although no specific degree or field of study is listed for this period.
