Senior Electrical Engineer at Capital Power

Daniel Marner, P.Eng., P.E., PMP has extensive work experience as an electrical engineer in various companies. Daniel started their career in 2010 as an Electrical Engineer, EIT at EPCOR, specifically with Citra Industries Inc. After two years, they joined Stantec as an Electrical Engineer. Daniel worked in Stantec for nearly three years. In 2015, they moved to EPCOR again, this time as an Electrical Engineer for Citra Industries Inc. After a few months, they joined Powell Canada Inc. as a Lead Electrical/Production Engineer. Daniel worked there for about a year before joining EPCOR once again, this time as an Electrical Engineer for a different project. In 2016, they joined EPCOR's subsidiary, Citra Industries Inc., as an Electrical Engineer. In 2017, they transitioned to Intertek as a Project Engineer, where they worked for about eight months before joining their current employer, Capital Power, as an Electrical Engineer. Daniel has been working at Capital Power since 2018.

Daniel Marner, P.Eng., P.E., PMP completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta from 2006 to 2010. After their undergraduate studies, they obtained several certifications including Professional Engineer (PE) from Nevada Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors in November 2020, Professional Engineer, PEng., PEO from Professional Engineers Ontario in October 2018, Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute in April 2017, and Professional Engineer, P.Eng., APEGA from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in October 2014.
