Vice President, Installations at Capitol Boiler Works

Carlos Valdez has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Carlos started their career at East Coast Glass in 2000 as a Foreman/Superintendent and worked there until 2007. Carlos then moved on to Trainor Glass Company, where they served as a Field Superintendent-Project Manager from 2007 to 2009. Following that, Valdez joined Alvarez Glass as a Field Superintendent/VP Operations from 2009 to 2013. In 2015, they joined Capitol Boiler Works as an EHS & Risk Management Specialist, and later progressed to roles such as Construction Manager, Sr. Construction Manager, and Vice President of Special Projects (Plan & Spec) and Vice President of Installation. Valdez's career trajectory demonstrates their growth and expertise in different areas of construction management.

Carlos Valdez CHST, STS-C attended Northern Virginia Community College, where they studied Construction Management. In addition to their degree, Carlos has obtained several certifications in various fields, including HVAC Controls Systems, Blue Print Reading, Air Conditioning, Drives Road Show: HV600 HVAC Authorized, OSHA 502, Bluebeam University: Revu Basics. Carlos also holds certifications such as Procore Certified: Estimator and Procore Certified: Project Manager at GC (Preconstruction). Furthermore, Carlos has certifications in Confined Space Train-the-Trainer, Permit Required Confined Space Entry OSHA #2264, Rigging, Low-pressure boiler, OHSA 500, OSHA 510, and 40-hour EM 385-1 USACE Safety & Health. Carlos is also a Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and a Certified Trainer in Wheel Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Loader Backhoes, and Mini Excavators. Additionally, Carlos is a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor for the American Red Cross and a Mobile Equipment Trainer for Aerial lifts and Class 1-6 Forklifts.
