Jorge Penagos, MBA

Jorge Penagos, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jorge most recently worked at Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. as an Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing operations within the company. Prior to that, they served as a Research Laboratory Manager at the same company.

Before joining Capricor Therapeutics, Inc., Jorge worked at Salem Five Bank as a Loan Servicing Specialist. In this role, they conducted financial analysis to evaluate modification options for borrowers, prepared loan presentations, and worked through customers' loss mitigation options. Jorge also communicated with delinquent borrowers to obtain late payments and made collection calls for past due loans. Jorge was responsible for managing a portfolio of delinquent loans and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Jorge also gained experience in the banking industry as a Loan Documentation Specialist at both Rockland Trust and Magnolia Bank. In these roles, they were responsible for managing loan documentation processes.

In addition to their banking experience, Jorge has served as a Facilities Supervisor at Campbellsville University and as a Manager (MBA) at the same institution. Jorge also worked as an Engineer at both CORPOELEC and PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. Overall, Jorge has demonstrated their ability to manage operations, conduct financial analysis, and handle loan servicing and documentation processes.

Jorge Penagos, MBA, has a strong educational background in both business administration and engineering. Jorge earned their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín, where they attended from 2006 to 2012. Following this, Jorge pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Campbellsville University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016.

In addition to their formal degrees, Jorge has also obtained certifications in English as a Second Language from Campbellsville University in August 2013. Furthermore, they obtained a certification as an Insurance Agent, specializing in Accident, Health, Life, Variable Life & Variable Annuities from NIPR in November 2020.
