Wouter Van de Putte has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Wouter started their career at MAVA in 2008, where they served as a project engineer and later as a project manager for EnISSA, a soil analysis technology. Wouter successfully led the research and commercialization of EnISSA, which gained recognition and industry integration. In 2013, Wouter joined Scientia Terrae (Group De Ceuster) and held multiple positions, including Chemical R&D engineer, research leader in chemistry and product development, and program manager. During their time at Scientia Terrae, they contributed to various research and development projects. In 2019, Wouter transitioned to Capricorn Partners, where they first worked as an Investment Associate and later became an Investment Manager. Their focus at Capricorn was on clean technology companies specializing in sustainable and circular concepts in industries such as chemicals, materials, food, and feed. Additionally, starting in 2022, Wouter became an external member of the Industrial Research Fund (IOF) Council at KU Leuven.
Wouter Van de Putte has a diverse education history. In 2000, they obtained their Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven. Following this, from 2005 to 2008, Wouter Van de Putte worked on a research project focused on electrolytic water disinfection at KU Leuven. In 2015, they pursued a Postgraduate degree in Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship & Innovation at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. Moving forward, in 2016, Wouter Van de Putte completed an Executive-MBA program, specializing in Master of Business Administration / Entrepreneurial MBA, at Flanders Business School - FBS. In 2018, they participated in the ti:ger program eMBA at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Lastly, from 2018 to 2019, they attended KU Leuven again to acquire a Postgraduate degree in Big Data & Analytics in Business and Management.
