Gerard Aston

Gerard is a Partner at Capsticks who specialises in clinical negligence. As well as dealing with a range of high value and complex claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, Gerard assists with the running of the Capsticks’ Claims Handling Service. This provides NHS organisations with a secure, professional and cost efficient way of dealing with the workload faced by their legal departments.

Gerard is a clinical negligence specialist. His practice includes claims involving the most severe neurological injuries and he is experienced in all forms of ADR including mediation. Gerard has also been advising Trusts on the outsourcing of their claims handling function since 2011.

Before moving to the London office Gerard helped to establish the Capsticks Diploma course in Leeds and built strong links with a local University assisting with their vocational training program and helping law students gain an understanding of legal practice.
