Edgar Rocha

Edgar Rocha has extensive experience in project management and engineering roles in the mining industry. Edgar started their career at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. in 2005 as a Senior Project Engineer and later became a Project Engineering Manager. In 2016, they joined Lundin Mining Corporation as a Construction Project Coordinator and Deputy Project Manager. Edgar was responsible for coordinating project construction activities and ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency. In subsequent roles, they served as a Project Manager overseeing a project portfolio for the Candelaria Mining District and as a Zinc Expansion Project Manager for a brownfield zinc mine expansion project. Most recently, they worked at Freeport-McMoRan as a Site Project Manager and then as a Project Manager/Engineering Manager. Edgar Rocha is currently working as a Project Director at Capstone Copper.

Edgar Rocha holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, which they obtained in the period between 2007 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso, from 1998 to 2005. In addition, Edgar has also obtained a Project Management Graduate Certificate from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2010, as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Motorola University in 2007.
