Pete Blakemore

Pete Blakemore is an experienced fire service professional with a diverse background in fire training and management. Currently serving as a Fire Academy Instructor at the College of the Desert since October 2013, Pete Blakemore provides quality education and State Fire Training certification to cadets. Additionally, Pete holds part-time responsibilities as a Security Officer at La Quinta Resort & Club and has held leadership roles at Capstone Fire & Safety Management Inc. as Wildland Fire Captain and Battalion Chief in the Wildland Division. Previous experience includes serving as an Administrative Staff Analyst II with the County of Riverside Fire Department and an Interim Fire Chief at Morongo Valley Fire Department. Pete Blakemore's extensive career began with the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, where various roles culminated in the position of Battalion Chief. Pete Blakemore completed high school education at Stephen W Kearny High School in San Diego, CA.
