Hardik Uppal

Hardik Uppal is an accomplished Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Captura, where responsibilities include leading research in computer vision and generative AI, and building scalable machine learning solutions. Previously, Hardik worked as a Machine Learning Researcher II, achieving significant improvements in ML pipeline efficiency and developing advanced AI features for photography. At Skylab Technologies ULC, Hardik designed custom evaluation metrics that dramatically reduced error rates in large-scale photography applications. A research assistant at Queen's University, contributions were made in deep learning and AI-human interaction, while earlier experience as a System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services involved optimizing data operations. Hardik holds a Master’s degree in Applied Science from Queen's University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University.
