Leo Hyoungkun Park, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations and roles.

Leo Hyoungkun currently holds the position of Vice President of Strategic Development at Capture6, a company they joined in 2023. Prior to this, in the same year, they became a Climate Policy Expert on the Paris Agreement Article 6.4 Mechanism at UN Climate Change, appointed by the Article 6.4 Supervisory Body.

Dr. Park has also been involved in academia, working as an Adjunct Professor at Inha University since 2018.

In terms of their involvement in environmental organizations and initiatives, they were the Director a.i. at ClimateWorks Foundation from June 2022 to January 2023. Before that, they served as an Associate Director, contributing to the ClimateWorks Finance program which aimed to catalyze financial and market changes to accelerate climate action. Leo Hyoungkun joined the foundation in November 2021.

Dr. Park was also a member of the Presidential Committee on Carbon Neutrality in South Korea from May 2021 to October 2022. Leo Hyoungkun specifically served as a member of the International Cooperation Group, contributing to the country's goal of going carbon neutral by 2050.

Leo Hyoungkun'sexperience in climate finance includes roles at the Green Climate Fund, where they held positions such as Financial Institutions Manager, Corporate Sustainability Officer, Deputy Director a.i., Financial Institutions Senior Specialist, and Financial Institutions Specialist. Leo Hyoungkun started their tenure at the Green Climate Fund in January 2015 and remained until November 2021.

Additionally, Dr. Park served as a member of the Green Bank Design Platform Founders Committee from December 2019 to November 2021.

Before their involvement in climate-related work, Dr. Park worked as an Investment Officer at Korea Development Bank from 2006 to 2015. Leo Hyoungkun was also a Climate Change Specialist at the Presidential Committee on Green Growth from 2011 to 2012.

Dr. Park began their career as an Energy Market Analyst at BearingPoint in 2005.

Leo Hyoungkun Park, PhD, has a diverse educational background with degrees in finance, social innovation, computer science, and business studies. Leo Hyoungkun'seducation journey started in 1998 when they attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, where they pursued a BSc. degree in Computer and Business Studies, completing their studies in 2001.

Leo furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the prestigious NYU Stern School of Business. Leo Hyoungkun pursued this degree from 2012 to 2014, specializing in Finance and Social Innovation.

Driven by their interest in sustainability management and sustainable finance, Leo pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Inha University. Leo Hyoungkun engaged in research and study in this field from 2015 to 2021, earning their PhD in Sustainability Management and Sustainable Finance.

In addition to their degrees, Leo has various certifications that contribute to their expertise. Leo Hyoungkun obtained a certification in "Climate Change & the TCFD: Risks & Opportunities for the Banking Industry" from the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in November 2021. In January 2021, they also earned the "NYU Stern Certificate in Corporate Sustainability" from the NYU Stern School of Business.
