Maarten de Bakker has worked in the marketing field since 2008, beginning their career at Staka as a Marketing Manager and Marketing & Sales executive. In 2015, they took on the role of Global Brand Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager The Netherlands at payleven. Maarten then moved to SumUp as a Marketing Manager in 2016, followed by Transtrack International as a Marketing Manager in 2018. Most recently, in 2020, Maarten de Bakker took on the role of Software Marketing Manager at Giesecke+Devrient, and is currently a Marketing Manager at CaptureTech.

Maarten de Bakker began their educational journey in 1998 at Buys Ballot College, where they earned their HAVO in 2003. Maarten then moved on to Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) in Commerciële Economie in 2007. In 2010, they attended NCOI Opleidingen and earned a NIMA Business Marketing B in B2B Marketing. Maarten then went to NIMA, Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing and earned a NIMA Business Marketing B in Marketing in 2011. That same year, they also attended Sales & Pepper and earned a Trade fair sales training. In 2013, they returned to SRM and earned a NIMA C1 in Strategic Marketing in 2015. Currently, they are in the process of earning a Growth Hacking degree from SRM.
