Caracol AM
Giovanni Avallone has work experience with two companies. From February 2015 to February 2018, they worked at Caracol Design Studio as a Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer. Then, in February 2018, they co-founded Caracol AM and served as the Co-Founder and Chief Design&Engineering Officer until January 2021. From January 2021 onwards, Giovanni Avallone took on the role of CIO (Chief Innovation Officer) at Caracol AM.
Giovanni Avallone began their education in 2011 at Politecnico di Milano, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design. Giovanni attended this institution until 2014, obtaining a Laurea degree. In 2012, they also participated in an exchange program at Universidad CEU San Pablo, studying Architecture for a year. In addition to their formal education, Giovanni holds a certification in FCE from Cambridge English Language Assessment. Caracol AM
Caracol provides advanced additive manufacturing services (3D printing). Following research activities on the world of 3D and generative design at the Polytechnic of Milan, it has transformed robotic supports into an integrated Additive Manufacturing technology. The Caracol robotic system produces large-sized monocoque components with very complexgeometries and "direct printing" of composite materials with high mechanical and thermal performance thanks to the hardware development of an innovative patented extrusion system and proprietary software algorithms.
