Anthony Shapiro

Anthony Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Anthony is currently working as a Lawyer | Of Counsel at Caravel Law since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lawyer at Anthony Shapiro Law Professional Corporation starting in September 2021.

From February 2021 to July 2021, Anthony was the General Counsel at 3iQ Corp, where they advised on the launch of digital coin ETFs and provided guidance on international expansion, product development, corporate governance, and compliance matters.

Before entering the legal field, Anthony worked as a Neurobiology Researcher at the National Research Council of Canada from September 1995 to August 1997, where they focused on studying the immune system's interaction with the human blood-brain barrier following stroke.

From 1990 to 1994, Anthony attended Queen's University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Biochemistry.

In 1994 and 1995, Anthony pursued Graduate Studies at McGill University, focusing on Neurobiology and Neurosciences.

Starting in 1997 and continuing until 2001, Anthony attended Western University, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.

During this time, Anthony also pursued a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 1998 to 2001.

In 2000, Anthony participated in an MBA Exchange Program at the IESE Business School.

In terms of certifications, Anthony was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 2003 by the New York State Unified Court System. Additionally, they were called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2002 by the Law Society of Ontario. Anthony also holds a Canadian Securities Course certification from the Canadian Securities Institute and has completed the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course from the same institution.
