Barry Fitzsimons

Barry Fitzsimons has extensive work experience in the food and nutrition industry. Barry currently serves as the Director of Business Development, Cheese at Carbery Group. Prior to this, they held various roles at Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN), including President of International Markets and EVP Strategic Business Development and President of LaPac. During their time at GPN, they focused on developing and executing growth strategies in Latin America, Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. Barry also played a key role in identifying new opportunities in the US market and driving growth in emerging markets. Before joining GPN, Barry worked as the Chief Commercial Officer for AsPac and Latam at Glanbia Performance Nutrition, where they led the assessment of consumer behaviors and market dynamics in various countries. Barry was responsible for building sales and marketing teams as well as distribution networks in key markets. Prior to that, Barry served as the Regional Director for AsPac at Glanbia, where they played a crucial role in developing the Dairy Speciality Ingredients business and expanding operations in China. Earlier in their career, they gained entrepreneurial experience as the Business Development Manager at Marigot Ltd., where they focused on B2B supplements and food categories. Barry began their career at Quest International with various roles. Overall, Barry's work experience showcases their expertise in business development, strategic planning, market assessment, and team management in the food and nutrition industry.

Barry Fitzsimons attended the University of Limerick from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a BSc. (1st Class Hon) degree in Industrial Chemistry.
