Dr James A King

Climate Advisor at Carbn

Dr James A. King has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In 2013, they were an Alumnus for the Debating Matters Competition. In 2015, they were the JCR Vice President for St Edmund Hall. From 2016 to 2018, they were the President of the Oxford University Motor Drivers' Club and a PHD Candidate at the University of Oxford. During this time, their research focused on the climate of East Africa. In 2018, they were the Common Room President for Linacre College, Oxford. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Stipendiary Lecturer at St Catherine's College, University of Oxford. From 2020 to 2021, they were a Climate Advisor for Carbn. Currently, they are a Research Associate at The University of Sheffield and a Visiting Researcher at NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research.

Dr James A. King attended The Burgate School and Sixth Form Centre from 2006 to 2013, where they completed their High School education. Dr James A. then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Oxford from 2013 to 2016. Following this, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Climate Science from the University of Oxford in 2021.
