Robert Tromans began their work experience in 2014 as a STEM Ambassador and Outreach Demonstrator at the University of Bristol ChemLabS, where they taught and supervised school students in introductory practical chemistry experiments. From 2014 to 2015, they also worked as an Open Day Representative and Guide at the University of Bristol, leading large groups of prospective students and providing information about the university. From 2014 to 2017, they served as an Undergraduate Laboratory Demonstrator at the University of Bristol, teaching practical techniques and assessing students' performance. In 2018, Tromans joined Ziylo as a Senior Scientist for a few months before transitioning to Carbometrics. At Carbometrics, they held various roles including Senior Scientist, Lead Discovery Chemist, and Head of Research. Tromans' most recent position was as the Head of Research at Carbometrics, which started in January 2021 and is currently ongoing.
Robert Tromans received their GCSE's from Redhill Secondary School in Stourbridge between 2002 and 2007. Robert then studied A-Levels at Old Swinford Hospital School, also in Stourbridge, from 2007 to 2009, focusing on Art and Design, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics (AS level). Robert went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSci) in Chemistry at the University of Bristol from 2009 to 2013.
