Hunaid N.

Hunaid N. is a co-founder and CEO of LumiShield Technologies, a company focused on developing and commercializing coatings technology. Prior to this role, they were a co-founder and CEO of RoCo Global, which focused on advanced materials solutions, and a co-founder of Carbon Blade DAC. Hunaid also worked as CTO and co-founder at LumiShield Technologies, where they invented and developed coatings technology. Hunaid N. has experience in academia, having worked as an assistant research professor at Carnegie Mellon University and as a task technical coordinator at the National Energy Technology Laboratory. Hunaid also worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Energy Technology Laboratory and as a graduate student at UCSB, where they focused on polymeric materials and encapsulant materials for light emitting devices. Earlier in their career, they worked as a research chemist at General Electric and as a chemist co-op at Eastman Kodak Company.

Hunaid N. earned a B.Com degree in Business, Accounting, and Economics from Karachi University in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Higher National Diploma in Polymer Technology, Polymer Process Engineering, and Polymer Blends from the University of London. Hunaid then went on to earn a BSc degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology between the years 2000 and 2004. Hunaid N. completed their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry, with a focus on Materials, from UC Santa Barbara in 2009.
