Shelly Ford

Shelly Ford is an experienced educator with a focus on reading and special education. Currently serving as a Reading/Language Arts Teacher in Carbon County School District One since August 2013, Shelly teaches an alternative core reading program designed for students facing challenges in literacy. Prior to this role, Shelly was the head of the Special Education Department at the same school district, managing cases and mentoring fellow educators from August 2000 to May 2013. Earlier career experiences include work as a Case Manager and Residential Habitation Trainer with the Wyoming Department of Disabilities, and as a Special Education Teacher for preschool-aged students at Project Reach. Shelly holds a Master's degree in Special Education and an Endorsement in Literacy from the University of Wyoming.
