Kim Nikolaisen

Kim Nikolaisen has extensive work experience in the field of process engineering. From 2020 to the present, they have been employed as the Principal Process Engineer (Operations) at Carbon Engineering Ltd., where they focus on process optimization through test planning, data analysis, and reporting. Prior to this role, from 2020 to 2023, they served as the Manager, Process Engineering (Operations), leading a team and overseeing process development and optimization.

Before joining Carbon Engineering Ltd., Kim worked at NORAM Engineering & Constructors Ltd. from 2007 to 2020. During this time, they held the position of Technology Manager - Sulfur Dioxide and Scrubbing, where they improved and expanded process offerings and established consulting relationships. Additionally, as a Senior Process Engineer at NORAM, they designed a sulphur dioxide gas plant for Minera Y Metalurgica del Boleo.

Furthermore, Kim gained research and teaching experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant/Ph.D. student at EPFL from 2003 to 2007.

Kim Nikolaisen completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1994 to 2002, they obtained an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
