Peter Dixon

Chief Engineer & Co-Founder at Carbon Origins

Peter Dixon is an engineer and co-founder of Carbon Origins. Peter has worked on designing and building an aluminum rocket that travels at almost twice the speed of sound. Peter also developed software to sensor-fuse, process, and visualize flight data in a visually appealing way. Prior to Carbon Origins, they worked as an intern at Robert Bosch and as a co-op at Babcock and Wilcox.

Peter Dixon completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Space Engineering from the University of Michigan. Peter also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Peter Dixon is also certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in HAM Radio License, and by the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) in Level 1 High Power Rocketry. Peter is also certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Private Pilot.
