Juan Carlos Duque

Juan Carlos Duque is a Research Scientist at Carbon Solutions LLC since February 2023, working in an R&D and Software/Services startup specializing in energy applications including CO2 capture, geothermal, wind, and hydrogen. Previously, Juan Carlos served as a Full Professor in both the Department of Mathematical Sciences and the Department of Economics at Universidad EAFIT from October 2007 to February 2023, where Juan Carlos also directed the PhD program in Economics. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral researcher at San Diego State University in the Regional Analysis Laboratory from January 2005 to July 2007 and a position as Director of Production Planning at Super de Alimentos from July 1997 to September 1999. Juan Carlos holds a Ph.D. in Management from Universitat de Barcelona, a MSc. in Management and Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Additionally, Juan Carlos was a Research Scholar in Geography at UC Santa Barbara in 2004.
