Andy Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the advanced composite industry, currently serving as Director - CSO at Carbon ThreeSixty Ltd since February 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing R&D and engineering initiatives focused on bespoke composite products. Previously, Andy operated as a Strategic Composites R&D Consultant at EMSINC Ltd, successfully securing over £2 million in funding for advanced composite technology development and fostering significant new intellectual property. Early career highlights include technical leadership at the AMRC, where Andy managed multiple research projects and developed expertise in various composite manufacturing technologies. Additionally, Andy has a background in audio production and DJing, promoting events across Europe while producing underground house music. Andy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
