Kristin Skelton, MSc. has a diverse work experience. Kristin has worked in the fields of sales and development, sustainability, mission support, education, newsletters, customer service, English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching, executive assistance, and hair styling and coloring.
In 2022, Kristin began working as a Sales and Development Associate for Carbon Upcycling Technologies. From 2017-2018, they served as the Founder of Budfunding.com, where they educated and empowered individuals to live sustainably through expos, workshops, and presentations. Kristin also created engaging written and visual content, and developed and executed five Sustainability Expos.
From 2018-2022, Kristin worked for the Arthritis Society as a Mission Specialist and Mission Coordinator. In this role, they created, facilitated, and evaluated impactful nationwide programs, and created, delivered, and evaluated innovative education programs and services.
In 2016, Kristin took on the role of Sustainable Energy Development Newsletter Editor at the University of Calgary. From 2014-2016, they worked as a Shift Leader at Pulcinella Ristorante, where they directed up to 20 employees and interacted with customers to ensure optimal guest experiences.
In 2013, Kristin served as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Head Teacher for Romp n' Roll Korea, where they taught English to kindergarten children and provided conversational English tutoring to adults. In 2012, they were an Executive Assistant for the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, where they provided administrative and digital social media support.
Finally, from 2009-2012, Kristin worked as a Hair Stylist/ Colorist at Studio 13 Salon and Day Spa, where they provided exceptional haircare and beauty services for clientele.
Kristin Skelton, MSc. has a diverse educational background. Kristin began their post-secondary education in 2007, when they obtained a Cosmetology Diploma from Avant-Garde College. Kristin then attended the University of Regina from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Sociology and Psychology. In 2012, they attended The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, as well as Université de Montréal's Explore French Bursary Program. In 2016, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sustainable Energy Development at the University of Calgary.
