Clarissa Gutierrez has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Clarissa began their career as a Research Assistant at the Soft Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory, where they conducted experiments and characterized the effect of blocking F-actin stress fiber formations on chondrogenic differentiation of stem cells.

Clarissa then joined Dot & Bo as a Customer Acquisition Associate, responsible for managing the company's Facebook paid social advertising platform and maintaining positive relationships with account representatives at Facebook.

Clarissa's next role was as a Research Associate at Carbon, where they produced 3D printed parts for the Business Development and Sales organizations to foster customer relationships and promote printer and resin sales. Clarissa also synthesized and distilled learnings on print quality and user experience to the R&D team for better print optimization.

Clarissa continued to grow within Carbon and became a Print Analyst, designing tests and metrics to understand accuracy, quality, and robustness of prints. Clarissa'swork led to improved part accuracy in the XY plane by ~40um.

Clarissa then transitioned to the role of Research Scientist at Carbon, leading validation efforts for resin products and optimizing the printing process, software, and post-processing for new resin products. Clarissa also assisted the service team in customer escalations and quality control in out-of-spec lots.

In their most recent role at Carbon, Clarissa served as a Senior and Staff Software QA Engineer, leading design assurance and quality assurance efforts in all stages of resin development. Clarissa strategized design control activities, collaborated with cross-functional teams, and ensured appropriate product requirements were met.

Throughout their career, Clarissa has demonstrated their technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaboration skills across various industries and roles.

Clarissa Gutierrez attended Providence Senior High School from 2004 to 2008. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University, which they completed between 2008 and 2012.
