Lance Uyehara

Lance Uyehara has a diverse background in software and firmware engineering. Lance started their career at Tandem Computers as a PC Support specialist in 1988 and then moved on to work at various software companies. Lance worked as a Software Engineer at Nebulex from 1990 to 1992, followed by a role as a QA at Concurrent Logic Inc. from 1992 to 1994. Lance then joined Aura Associates as a Software Engineer in 1994, and later worked as a Firmware Engineer at Belfort Memory Inc. in 1996. Lance served as the Firmware Manager at NuvoMedia Inc. from 1997 to 2001 before joining Vernier Networks, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer from 2001 to 2006. Their experience in firmware continued at Tesla Motors Inc., where they held the position of Senior Firmware Engineer from 2006 to 2014. Currently, Lance is a Senior Software Engineer at Carbon, a position they have held since 2015.

Lance Uyehara completed their high school education at Iolani School from 1973 to 1986. Lance then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Mathematics at Santa Clara University from 1986 to 1990. Lance furthered their studies at Santa Clara University by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from 1990 to 1998.
