Manu Pillai

Manu Pillai is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in climate technology, agriculture technology, and business development. As the Founder and CEO of CarbonBridge since March 2021, Pillai has focused on carbon sequestration and emissions avoidance, pivoting to biotech in 2023 to produce renewable methanol. Prior to CarbonBridge, Pillai served as a Systems Engineer at Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, providing systems engineering support for off-highway vehicles. Pillai also founded WaterBit, Inc., which developed automated irrigation technology for commercial agriculture. With a strong background in business development, Pillai held leadership roles at MulticoreWare, Inc., Nethra Imaging, GDA Technologies Inc., Product Acceleration, and Creative Design Solution, contributing to various sectors including video technology, ASIC development, and NAS storage solutions. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin.
