Rahul Shendure

Rahul Shendure has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rahul is currently serving as the CEO and Director of CarbonBuilt since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Early-Stage Investor, focusing on sustainability, for various companies including Amply Power, Atmos Financial, Beta Hatch, and others.

Before their role as an investor, Rahul co-founded Oscilla Power, Inc. in 2009 and served as the Co-Founder and Board Chair. The company specialized in ocean wave energy conversion technology and raised over $20 million in funding.

Rahul also co-founded Bellwether Bio in 2016 and served as the CEO. The company was acquired by Guardant Health and focused on cancer diagnostics technology.

Rahul's previous experiences include working as the Vice President of Product Marketing at Amyris, a synthetic biology company, and a Consultant at Ventures West. Rahul also held a managerial role in strategic marketing at Ballard Power Systems.

Additionally, Rahul has worked as a Consultant for various industries including ecotourism, healthcare software, and restaurants. Rahul began their career as part of the Corporate Audit Staff at General Electric and later joined GE Plastics as part of the Technical Leadership Program.

Rahul Shendure completed their education starting from high school at Solon High School, where they attended from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1991 to 1995. Later on, Rahul went to Harvard Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 1999 to 2001.
