Adam Hearne

CEO at CarbonChain

Adam Hearne is the CEO of CarbonChain, a supply chain management company. Adam has over fifteen years of experience in the field and has worked for Amazon, CDC Group plc, Medopad, Rio Tinto, and other companies.

Adam Hearne has a degree in Engineering from the University of Oxford. Adam began their career at CDC Group plc, where they worked as a Strategic Resourcing consultant. Adam then moved to Rio Tinto, where they worked as an Innovation Advisor and Principal Consultant. In October 2017, they joined Amazon as a Senior Program Manager for Supply Chain.

At Amazon, Adam was tasked with leading the operational improvement of inbound delivery across the EU. In 2017, they successfully delivered step change improvements to the EU network and reduced inbound lead time by 0.6 days across core geographies to deliver material savings back to customers ($65M in working capital reductions across five EU regions).

In July 2019, Adam left Amazon to become the CEO of CarbonChain.

Adam Hearne has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from London Business School and a Master of Information Technology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Adam also has a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) from QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
