David Jacobi, PE

Senior Director, Project Engineering and Construction at CarbonQuest

David Jacobi, PE has over two decades of work experience, beginning in 1997 with roles as a QA/QC Engineer, Equipment Engineer, and Project Engineer in various companies. In 2001, they served as the Team Leader of an industrial assessment center, where they led a team of eight that performed energy efficiency and productivity audits of over 80 industrial facilities, and developed reports with recommendations for improvements. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Project Engineer/Manager, designing HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems, and supervising all MEP trades to create design documents for over 60 projects. From 2007 to 2013, they were a Project Manager II/MEP Project Manager at Lendlease, procuring, managing, and coordinating mechanical and electrical trades, and installing and commissioning various systems. In 2013, they joined Hunter Roberts Construction Group as a Senior Project Manager responsible for day-to-day management of the field, including site safety and logistics for various construction projects. Currently, they work at CarbonQuest, where they were promoted from Director to Senior Director, with responsibilities in project engineering and construction.

David Jacobi, PE received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 1996. David then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2001. In 2011, they obtained their Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the state of New York. Additionally, they received their OSHA 30 certification from ClickSafety in November 2018 and their NYC Site Supervisory Card from All Borough Construction Safety Training (ABCST) in May 2020.
