Joel Cone

Joel Cone has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Joel is currently employed at CarClarity as a Lead Engineer, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Joel worked at CarClarity as a Senior Software & DevOps Engineer from December 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining CarClarity, Joel worked at 4WD Supacentre as an IT Project Manager from February 2021 to December 2021.

Joel also founded Garagecloud Limited in July 2018 and served as its Founder until December 2021.

In addition, Joel has experience working at nib Group as a Senior DevOps Engineer from July 2019 to March 2021.

Joel previously worked at 4WD Supacentre as a Project Manager from August 2018 to July 2019, and as a DevOps Engineer from July 2017 to August 2018.

Joel started their career at Drew Baird Fitness as the Head of Technology and Acting CTO from July 2016 to July 2017. During their time there, they successfully migrated the company's platform to Amazon's AWS, contributing to increased stability and growth.

Prior to Drew Baird Fitness, Joel worked at EZ-Leads as a Developer from January 2016 to May 2016. In this role, they spearheaded the development of a web application focusing on real estate lead generation.

Joel also served as the Chief Technical Officer at 6500 Feet from February 2012 to December 2015. Joel developed web presences for small businesses and handled IT management and administration tasks.

Before that, Joel worked as a Freelancer, specializing in web design, development, and app design from June 2011 to February 2012.

Their career began at Critical IT Limited, where they worked as an IT Manager on a contract basis from May 2011 to February 2012.

Joel Cone completed their education at RMIT University from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Narara Valley High School from 1998 to 2002, where they completed their NSW HSC. In addition to their formal education, Joel Cone also obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in July 2020 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in September 2019.
