Peter Nott

Quality Manager (part 147) at Cardiff and Vale College

Peter Nott has significant work experience in the aviation industry. Peter began their career in 1983 with the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an Airframe and Propulsion Engineer. After leaving the RAF in 1993, they worked as a Base Maintenance Engineer for British Airways until 1997. Peter then joined Malaysia Airlines as a Base Maintenance Engineer until 2000. Following that, they worked as a Line Maintenance Engineer for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 2000. From 2001 to 2018, they held various roles with Cathay Pacific Airways, including Line Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Control Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager, Hong Kong Line Maintenance Operations Manager, and finally, Head of Technical Services. Since 2018, they have been working as a Lecturer in Aeronautical Engineering at Cardiff and Vale College.

Peter Nott completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Airline Management at UNSW from 2008 to 2009. Earlier, from 1983 to 1986, they attended the No1 School of Technical Training, RAF Halton, where they studied Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
