Reem Ismail

Learning Coach at Cardiff and Vale College

Reem Ismail has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, in 2022, they worked as a Learning Coach at Cardiff and Vale College. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC. In 2015, Reem worked as a Student Support and Accommodation Assistant at Heriot-Watt University. Reem also pursued a PhD in Urban Studies at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, from 2008 to 2014. Reem's earlier experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Aleppo, from 2005 to 2007, and as an Architect at Arabesque from 2004 to 2007.

Reem Ismail's education history begins in 1998, when they enrolled in Tishreen University and pursued a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree in Architectural Engineering. Reem completed their undergraduate studies in 2003.

Afterwards, they continued their education at Tishreen University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Planning and Environment. This program was focused on the study of urban planning and environmental issues.

Following their postgraduate studies, Reem attended Heriot-Watt University from 2008 to 2014. Reem pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Urban Studies, specializing in the field of urban development and related research.

In terms of certifications, in September 2020, Reem obtained a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) certification from The TEFL Org, a leading provider of courses in this field. Additionally, in April 2023, they earned the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certification from Microsoft.
