Amy Francis-Smith is a senior architect at Pinnegar Hayward Design LLP since August 2019, specializing in healthcare and residential projects while serving as PHD's Internal Accessibility & Inclusive Design Advisor. As a Design Council Expert, Amy focuses on access and design in the built environment. Teaching roles include visiting lecturer positions at Cardiff University, Birmingham City University, and the University of Nottingham, covering topics such as access and inclusive design, disability in society, and building regulations. Amy is an Advisory Board Committee Member for Habinteg, advocating for accessible housing, and previously served as Vice President of the Birmingham Architectural Association. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees in architecture, culminating in a PgDip in Architectural Practice from Birmingham City University. Amy has also contributed to innovative educational initiatives, such as the DisOrdinary Architecture Short Course.
