Juan David Hernández Vega

Juan David Hernández Vega is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at Cardiff University since December 2020, having previously held the position of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the same institution. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Engineer at Apple from October 2019 to November 2020, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rice University from February 2018 to September 2019, where efforts focused on enhancing human-robot interaction and collaboration through advanced motion planning strategies and augmented reality. Additional experience involves working as a Robotics Research Engineer at TNO, leading the development of automated valet parking systems, and conducting research as a PhD student at ViCOROB. Juan David Hernández Vega holds a PhD in Technology (Robotics) from Universitat de Girona and advanced degrees in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Electronics from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, respectively.
