Matthew Turner

Matthew Turner is an experienced professional in the field of education and cybersecurity, currently serving as the Head of Operations for the Cyber Innovation Hub at Cardiff University since August 2004. This role focuses on transforming and growing the cybersecurity cluster in the Cardiff Capital Region, with the goal of establishing a sustainable commercial vehicle to retain cybersecurity talent in Wales. Prior to this position, Matthew held various roles at Cardiff University, including Industry & External Engagement Manager, Software Academy Manager, and Project Manager. Earlier career experience includes serving as an Executive Officer at the University of Reading and as a Course Administrator at the College of Estate Management. Matthew Turner holds a BSc in Human Geography from the University of Reading, earned between 1995 and 1998, and completed secondary education at St Teilo's Church in Wales High School in Cardiff.
