Ryan Cox is a Laboratory Chemist at Cardinal Paint & Powder since July 2017, bringing expertise in industrial scale barrier coatings for food packaging applications. Prior experience includes working as a Masters Research Student at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from January 2014 to June 2017, where Ryan developed a novel barrier coating as part of a thesis project in collaboration with an external partner. Ryan also served as a Paid Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Shanju Zhang, focusing on zinc oxide-polythiophene nanocomposites for gel printing and photovoltaic design. In addition, Ryan held the position of Learning Assistant, fostering chemistry understanding in a studio classroom setting. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Polymers & Coatings Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
