Laurie Swartwout

Laurie Swartwout is an experienced library professional and educator with a long tenure at Cardinal Stritch University, where contributions included roles as University Library Director and Adjunct Faculty in the Language & Literacy Department. Responsibilities encompassed daily operations, personnel management, budgeting, collection development, and instructional leadership. Notable positions included Curator of the Instructional Materials Center and Children's and Young Adult Literature Research Center, as well as various roles within residence life at universities. Education credentials include a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master of Education from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Illinois University. Additional experience includes directing handbell choirs at the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay.
