Dr. Karin M. Thelen

Dr. Karin M. Thelen has a wealth of work experience in the field of pharmacovigilance. In 2006 they completed a pharmacovigilance internship at the Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte. From 2007 to 2018 they worked at Mundipharma Research GmbH & Co KG as a Senior Vigilance Manager Respiratory and Oncology. In 2018 they became the Leiter Qualitätssicherung at L-A-W Services GmbH, Leipziger Arzneimittelwerk. In 2019 they took a sabbatical to spend time with their family and look into new opportunities. Later that year, they joined PharmaLex as an Associate Director Pharmacovigilance and Senior Manager Pharmacovigilance. Currently, they are the Head of Drug Safety at Cardior Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Karin M. Thelen began their educational journey in 1997, when they enrolled at The University of Bonn to study Pharmazie and earned their Staatsexamen in 2002. In 2004, they attended Karolinska Institutet to study Klinische Chemie. The following year, they attended University of Zurich to study Klinische Chemie. Finally, in 2006, they earned their Promotion from The University of Bonn in the field of Pharmazie.
