Lorena Montes Villalobos is an accomplished cardiovascular surgeon and editor with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the Senior Cardiac Editor for CTSNet and Co-Chair of International Affairs for Women In Thoracic Surgery, Lorena also holds the position of Cirujana Cardiovascular at Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia and contributes as Chair of the Women in Cardiac Surgery Committee for LACES. As a founding partner of CorVita SAS, a cardiovascular surgery services company, Lorena has previously worked as a cardiovascular surgeon at multiple prestigious hospitals. Educational achievements include a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting from the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, a CLIMB Skills Training Program in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, and several other advanced training programs in cardiovascular surgery.
