George Dangas, MD, MACC, MSCAI has a diverse work experience in the field of cardiology. George began their career at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 1994 as a Fellow in Cardiology and later became an Interventional Cardiology Fellow. George then worked at Lenox Hill Hospital as the Associate Program Director of Interventional Cardiology from 2000 to 2004. In 2002, they joined New York University School of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. In 2004, they moved to Columbia University as an Associate Professor of Medicine. In 2010, they started working at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where they currently hold the positions of Professor of Surgery (Vascular Surgery), Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), and Course Director of Cardiology. George is also the Director of Cardiovascular Innovation at the Cardiovascular Institute at The Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition to their academic roles, they have also served as the Director of Academic Affairs and Education at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation since 2000.
George Dangas, MD, MACC, MSCAI received their Baccalaureate degree from Athens College in 1983. George then went on to attend Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, where they completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1989. Following that, they pursued further education at the Naval School of Hyperbaric Medicine, where they obtained a DHM degree in 1990. Lastly, they earned a DrScMed-PhD degree from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in 1999.
